“Tout est lié. La tension du geste et l’attention qu’on lui porte, le regard qui scrute et qui divague parfois pour ne pas trop s’ancrer dans le réel. J’ai choisi des directions de travail différentes parce que je n’aime pas être enfermé, ni dans un lieu, ni dans mon travail, ni avec les autres. Je travaille dans des temporalités courtes, le temps d’un bronze puis celui de l’acier et enfin la terre par moments.
Peu importe la matière car l’attention et l’intention artistique sont intrinsèques, elles participent avant tout d’une démarche et d’un état d’être. Etre dans l’art c’est être au quotidien cet être perméable au monde. Et être perméable au monde aujourd’hui c’est aussi considérer les grands enjeux de notre époque et les intégrer dans le processus artistique.”
"Everything is linked. The tension of the gesture and the attention that we pay to it, the gaze that scans and sometimes rambles so as not to be too anchored in reality. I chose different directions of work because I do not like to be locked up, neither in a place, nor in my work, nor with the others. I work in short temporalities, the time of a bronze then that of steel and finally the earth at times.
It doesn't matter what the material is because the attention and the artistic intention are intrinsic, they participate above all in a process and a state of being. To be in art is to be daily this being permeable to the world. And to be permeable to the world today is also to consider the great stakes of our time and to integrate them into the artistic process."
